Dear participant,

Due to the health situation in France and around the world, leading to many uncertainties, we are unfortunately forced to cancel our Rennes GreenCat 2020 symposium initially scheduled from March 30 to April 2, 2020 and then postponed from October 26 to 2, https://igcs2020.sciencesconf.org.

We are sincerely sorry and apologize to those colleagues who have already registered or registered and paid their participation fees. Of course, we will proceed with the refund of the registration fees for those concerned (without penalty).

You should have recently received by email a form to return to get your registration to GreenCat 2020 refunded. Please return the document to proceed with your refund.

Note that the deadline for reimbursement is October 31, 2020.

We hope to be able to organize a new event in March 2022, (not 2021) if the global health situation is back to normal. We hope that we can count on you on this occasion.

Best regards from Rennes

Welcome to Rennes in March 2020 for the International Green Catalysis Symposium & Advanced School.

The 4th edition of this conference aims to bring scientists from the whole world to share their recent discoveries on sustainable catalysis arising from molecular metal complexes, including their heterogeneous applications. Clean processes leading to complex molecules and molecular materials; biomass transformations into useful industrial intermediates; polymerization catalysts and biodegradable polymers; catalysts for energy economy or energy generation will be presented.

The art of organometallic catalysis lies at the heart of this conference. Its impact on life sciences and material sciences will also be prominently featured.

GreenCat Symposium 2020 will highlight modern trends in:

  • Organometallic Catalysts

  • Step Economic Synthesis

  • Transition Metal Catalyzed Clean Processes

  • Design of Novel Sustainable Methodologies

  • Valorization of Biomass

  • Catalysts for Polymer Chemistry

The conference is suited for chemists from both academia and industry. PhD students, postdocs and young researchers will have opportunities to plan their future career and prospect new positions by exchanging and discussing with senior scientists. Besides invited lectures, there will be 30 slots for oral communications and space available for 200 posters.

A rich social program will ensure numerous opportunities for networking.

GreenCat Symposium 2020 will take place on the Beaulieu campus of the Université de Rennes 1.  The conference site is at walking distance from the historical sites of Rennes and less than 1 hour to famous touristic places like Mont Saint-Michel, Saint-Malo, Cancale...
